Hexpert is operated by DRJ Technologies LLC. By using Hexpert ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
Hexpert is an AI-powered rules companion for board games. It answers rules questions using rulebook text loaded into an AI model. Hexpert is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any board game publisher. All game names, rulebook content, and related intellectual property belong to their respective publishers.
AI-generated answers may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misinterpret rules. Hexpert is a convenience tool, not an authoritative rules source. For official rulings, consult the publisher's FAQ, errata, or community forums. Do not rely on Hexpert for tournament play or official rulings. We are not responsible for decisions made based on Hexpert's answers.
You can use Hexpert as a guest (no account required) or by signing in with email. Guest users are identified by a random ID stored in your browser. If you clear your browser data, your guest identity is lost. Signed-in users get a persistent account tied to their authentication provider.
Subscriptions (Pro, Unlimited) are billed monthly through Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You can cancel anytime via the billing portal — access continues until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds for unused time.
Game Night Passes are one-time purchases. A pass grants unlimited AI queries for up to 6 hours, shared with everyone at your table via a room code. Passes are non-refundable. The timer starts on the first question asked, not at purchase.
Usage limits — All plans and passes are subject to token cost limits to ensure service sustainability. Your session or billing period may reach its query limit before the stated query count or time window if individual queries consume unusually high resources (e.g., very long rulebooks). You will be notified when limits are reached.
Overage billing (Pro plan only) is opt-in. If enabled, queries beyond your monthly limit are billed at the stated per-query rate.
Don't abuse the Service. This includes: automated scraping, sharing pass codes publicly to circumvent pricing, attempting to extract full rulebook text from AI responses, using the Service to infringe on publishers' intellectual property, or any activity that disrupts the Service for others.
Rulebook content is the property of the respective publishers and is used for the purpose of answering rules questions. Hexpert does not redistribute, display, or make available full rulebook text to users. The Hexpert name, logo, and brand are the property of DRJ Technologies LLC.
We aim to keep Hexpert available but make no uptime guarantees. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, infrastructure issues, or third-party API outages. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
Hexpert is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. DRJ Technologies LLC is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to incorrect rules answers, service interruptions, or data loss. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may update these terms. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or email (for signed-in users).
